I’ve planned and ran 3 large conferences, and taught across the country in the arts and wrote a best selling art book. I’m looking forward to working hard with productive, professional board members to bring the legacy of Mills College to our alumnae, as well as the women of NU.

Nominating Committee - Governors

  • Kieran Turan

    1990
I care deeply about the AAMC and the enduring legacy of Mills College. I fought very hard to save Mills as a women’s college, but now we are in a new era, one that requires vision, diplomacy and realism. As the last independent entity of Mills, the AAMC must adapt and upgrade to effectively steward that legacy. I’m committed to nominating skilled, collaborative candidates who’ll represent all our alums, and work with all stakeholders.

  • Melissa Berkay

    2018
I’ve served Mills as AAMC Governor, Mills’ captain of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Admissions Ambassador, Orientation Leader, and Assistant to the Alumni President. I always put my representation of the institution first, helping students positively impact their communities, and supporting First-Gen and LGBTQIA+ students. As a member of the Nomination Committee, I will put the interests of our Mills community first and foremost, and attempt to keep the tradition of Mills alive.

Nominating Committee - Members

  • Adrienne Bahlke Jardetzky

    1980
I’m a ‘bent twig‘ and my mother and I have both been active supporters of the AAMC since our graduations. I worked for years as an Alumnae Admissions Representative speaking to prospective Mills students and helped to resurrect the Santa Clara Valley Alumnae Association after the 1990 strike. I am committed to the future of the AAMC and would like to nominate Board members who will help the organization achieve greater independence and sustainability.

  • Anna Wilkins Henderson

    1982
I’m a dedicated member of the Palo Alto Mills Club, where I’ve served as President, Treasurer, and Board member. I’m an experienced fundraiser and volunteer for Lucile Packard Hospital. I’m grateful for the lifelong friends I made at Mills and hope students will continue to leave the campus with lifelong friends. I care about the AAMC and hope to nominate Board members who’ll advance our alumnae organization into a bright future.

  • Brandy Tuzon Boyd

I have served on the Quarterly Editorial board, as an AAMC regional governor, president of both the Oakland and Sacramento branches, and as an alumnae admissions rep. While Mills College may have changed in the years since I graduated, I believe the relationships and connections formed while at the College should be supported and strengthened going forward.
