  • Elil Hoole

    Elil Hoole is a Cambridge‑trained economist working on climate justice and earth systems repair. A Mills graduate in BusinessEconomics and Anthropology, she credits the college with providing the justiceorientation that ultimately shaped her career. As scholar whose work spans global policy, nonprofit governance, and academic leadership, her work aims to cultivate economic theories that recognize the complex, entwined relationships between people and nature, connections that cannot be economized upon under a spiralling climate crisis.  Elil brings extensive experience in institutional governance, having served on the boards of two higher education institutions,and deep expertise in nonprofit strategy management and fundraising, including overseeing portfolios valued over $300M. She hopes to help the AAMC strengthenits legal and financial independence, refine its bylaws, and build a globalalumnae mentorship network that connects recent graduates with established scholars. Elil also carries a unique historical connection to Mills through herfamily’s ties to Jaffna College, founded by Susan and Cyrus Mills. She views her service as a continuation of a long tradition of educational stewardship.

    Tammi Cason is a Children and Family Services Social Worker whose career centers on supporting families, resolving conflict, and strengthening community connections. With extensive experience in people‑centered planning, group facilitation, and cultural programming, she excels at bringing people together and navigating emotionally complex environments. Tammi has coordinated office‑wide educational and cultural events, trained new sororal members, and led youth programs. Her volunteer work includes mentoring NU students on the Mills campus, distributing food in Richmond, and participating in community wellness initiatives. She is deeply committed to rebuilding alumnae trust and participation following the Mills–Northeastern merger, noting that many alumnae feel unheard and disconnected. Tammi hopes to help the AAMC restore relationships, increase engagement across class years, and preserve the legacy of Mills through inclusive, community‑driven programming. Her leadership blends empathy, structure, and a strong belief in the power of shared experience.

  • Claire Bainer

    Orinda, CA

    Claire Bainer is a lifelong educator, nonprofit leader, and visionary whose work has shaped early childhood education across the Bay Area. As Co‑Director of BlueSkies for Children for more than 30 years, she led major fundraising efforts, annually raising over $200,000 for needs‑based scholarships and overseeing a $2.5 million capital campaign. Claire has taught both children and adults, served as an adjunct professor at Mills and local colleges, and co‑authored two books on education. She is also a recipient of the AAMC Distinguished Achievement Award. A Bent Twig, Claire brings deep institutional memory and a commitment to strengthening the AAMC’s vision, community engagement, and fundraising capacity. Now retired, she hopes to help the AAMC build structures that support meaningful participation, broaden alumnae involvement, and elevate Mills as a national voice for humanity‑centered, rigorous women’s education.

  • Eliana Hall

    Eliana Hall is a nonprofit leader, educator, and Director of Lifelong Learning with extensive experience in volunteer engagement, event coordination, and accessibility advocacy. With a background in psychology and Jewish education, they specialize in building inclusive, community‑centered programs that meet people where they are. Eliana has served on national committees focused on increasing volunteer engagement and has led efforts to make professional events and communications more accessible, informed by their experience as the first wheelchair user to complete their graduate program. They bring strong organizational skills, a love of color‑coded spreadsheets, and a commitment to thoughtful, realistic workload management. Eliana hopes to help the AAMC expand opportunities for alumnae—especially those living far from campus—to connect meaningfully with the Mills community. They are also attentive to the rhythms of Jewish observance and committed to ensuring that board participation remains inclusive, respectful, and accessible for all.

  • Winifred Flint

    Chicago, IL

    Winifred Flint is a retired librarian, nonprofit board member, and writer whose career reflects a lifelong commitment to education, public service, and clear communication. With a background in mathematics and library science, she brings strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex information into accessible, meaningful insights. Winifred has contributed extensively to climate‑focused and Haitian education nonprofits, including building a publicly available database of 270 Haitian educational nonprofits to strengthen collaboration and resource sharing. Her advocacy work has included presenting before city councils, writing climate news for the League of Women Voters, and helping shape local policy on urban heat and sustainability. Now retired, she is eager to give back to Mills and help the AAMC articulate a renewed sense of purpose. Winifred brings big‑picture thinking, team‑oriented leadership, and a deep belief in the power of education to transform communities.

  • Nicole Devlin

    Great Neck, NY

    Nicole Devlin is a Customer Experience and Marketing Manager with more than 15 years of cross‑sector experience in marketing, coaching, project management, hiring, and organizational development. A Mills graduate in Liberal Arts and Communications, she credits the college with shaping her confidence, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to open dialogue. Nicole has worked in nonprofits, fitness and wellness organizations, DEI consulting, event marketing, and international manufacturing, bringing a versatile and adaptive skill set. She is also a certified life coach and former MBA mentor for Mills students. Nicole hopes to help the AAMC reconnect alumnae to the cohesive, intellectually vibrant Mills experience that shaped so many lives. She describes herself as someone who listens deeply, communicates with reason, and embraces learning and humility as strengths. Her leadership style is grounded in passion, reflection, and a willingness to engage thoughtfully with complex challenges.

  • Lillian Sahagun

    Lillian Sahagun is a Lead Counselor at West Coast Children’s Clinic with a strong background in child development, education, and trauma‑informed care. Her work centers on supporting children and families through culturally responsive, community‑grounded practice. Lillian has previously served on the AAMC Board, bringing experience in event coordination, volunteer management, and collaborative decision‑making. She is deeply committed to helping alumnae stay connected during a period of institutional transition and strengthening the relationship between the AAMC and Mills at Northeastern. Lillian has also volunteered extensively in the Caribbean for more than a decade, supporting education and dental care initiatives that reflect her dedication to service and global equity. She values teamwork, shared leadership, and community‑centered engagement. Lillian’s approach blends steadiness, empathy, and practical problem‑solving, and she hopes to help the AAMC foster a sense of belonging, continuity, and purpose across generations of Mills alumnae.

  • Kieran Turan, President

    Kieran Turan brings proven leadership experience and unwavering dedication to preserving Mills' transformative legacy to the AAMC presidency. Mills College shaped his values of ethical leadership and creative expression, and he is committed to ensuring that its 170-year tradition of empowering women and diverse leaders continues to thrive. He has strengthened the organization's operations and reinvigorated fundraising outreach, helping drive the Center of Contemporary Music campaign. He modernized the election process for greater accessibility and transparency, and spearheaded the alumnae database survey—the largest response to a single AAMC campaign to date. He holds a degree in Communications from Mills College, class of 1990, and went on to work in game design, 3D animation, and graphic design. 

    Kieran's presidential vision centers on establishing the AAMC as a resilient, professional nonprofit that preserves and advances Mills' distinctive educational values for new generations. His agenda focuses on defining the AAMC's mission with strategic clarity, securing the organization's place on campus, and developing innovative programs that champion Mills' liberal arts approach of integrative thinking, creativity, and social justice. He plans to create opportunities for meaningful intergenerational connections while ensuring alumnae voices remain important to campus life. His vision includes expanding the AAMC’s operational capacity, advancing initiatives and programs that authentically reflect Mills values. Drawing on his deep love for the transformative Mills experience, he is determined to ensure that the education that empowered him continues to shape women and diverse leaders who will change the world.

    Adrienne Jardetzky brings valuable institutional perspective. As a Mills College Class of 1980 Computer Science graduate, Adrienne went on to earn an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, and is a retired Engineering Executive and dedicated AAMC volunteer. She has served two terms on the Nominating Committee, working to build a pragmatic, functional organization by helping select board members and officers who collaborate effectively. After the 1990 strike, she was moved to give back to Mills and became an Alumnae Admissions Representative. She is a Bent Twig; her mother graduated in 1951—giving her deep appreciation for the bonds between Mills women across different eras and educational experiences.  

    Adrienne's vision for the AAMC centers on establishing it as a self-sustaining independent organization that maintains Mills' legacy and fosters connections between alums. She advocates for developing a strategic plan with member input, and working with Northeastern to preserve historic campus buildings including Mills Hall and the Campanile. Her goals include ensuring AAMC's rights to Reinhard Alumnae House as both a gathering space and revenue source, partnering to restore what made Mills' liberal arts departments unique, and determining the future of AAMC membership. She contributes with her project and organizational management skills to help improve the AAMC's functionality and strategic direction. 

    Adrienne cares deeply about the future of the AAMC and wants to help move the organization forward to sustainable independence by serving on the Board. Adrienne’s calm demeanor and methodical approach to accomplishing the goals of an organization is an asset. With 30 years of experience in software management, she was responsible for assessing, hiring, and managing many people at all levels. She is a bent twig and like her mother has been an active supporter of the AAMC for decades. She served on the Nominating Committee in 2024 and was an Alumnae Admissions Representative for many years.
    She helped resurrect the Santa Clara Valley Alumnae Association after the 1990 Strike.

  • Wendy Ng

    Wendy Ng is a seasoned educator and academic leader with over 35 years of experience in higher education. She currently serves as the Dean of the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences at Cal State East Bay. Wendy holds a B.A. in Sociology and Biology from Mills College, with an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. She has previously served on the Board of the Palo Alto Area Mills Club and been part of Mills Alumnae Admissions Representative (AAR) program.

    Wendy emphasizes the importance of working together and addressing the AAMC’s relationship with Mills College at Northeastern, as well as helping to establish the Mills Institute for Women's Leadership and Higher Education. She advocates for collaboration, unity, and a commitment to the common good of the Mills Legacy among Alumnae and would like to ensure that the AAMC ultimately encompasses graduates from both institutions. Her extensive background in higher education, equity-minded education, and community involvement positions her well to serve and move the AAMC forward as a heritage institution of Mills College.

  • Myila Granberry

    Myila Granberry, deeply connected to Mills and the AAMC, brings extensive experience in event coordination, volunteer work, and fundraising. For nearly two decades, she’s served as an Education Specialist at the Seneca Family of Agencies and serves on the board for the non-profit Afro Puff Girls Academy. Myila holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Mills and an M.A. in Education from Holy Names. She’s volunteered countless hours for the AAMC, including previously co-chairing the Alumnae of Color Committee, serving on the Nominating Committee and Board of Governors. She currently co-chairs the Lifelong Learning Committee.

    Hailing from a family of Mills graduates, Myila grew up on the Mills campus. She has collaborated closely with students, faculty, and staff at both Mills College and Mills at Northeastern. Myila’s vision for the AAMC includes creating greater networking opportunities, celebrating alumnae, and nurturing a positive connection with Northeastern. Driven by her love for Mills College, she is committed to upholding its proud, inclusive legacy while propelling the AAMC to new heights and rekindling its spirit of collaboration and strength.

  • Glodean Champion - Nominating Committee Chair

    2006
    Glodean brings extensive experience in organizational transformation, change management, and project management to the AAMC. With a degree in English from Mills and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from California College of the Arts, Glodean currently works with organizations as a Transformational Change Leader, Consultant, and Motivational Speaker. She’s served the AAMC as a facilitator for the Annual Meeting and Leadership Retreat, where she helped focus the Board on its goals moving forward.

    Glodean is eager to leverage her skills and experience in group facilitation, conflict resolution, and “cat herding” (fostering cohesive teamwork) for the AAMC. With a focus on collaboration and transparency, her goal is to help guide the organization toward a brighter future filled with purpose.

  • Nan Roche

    College Park, MD

    Nan Roche is a retired NIH scientist, accomplished artist and longtime nonprofit leader whose work spans scientific research, arts education, and organizational governance. She is widely known in the arts community for The New Clay, a foundational text in polymer arts, and has authored more than 40 scientific publications. Nan has led major arts conferences, managed nonprofit bookstores, and contributed to national conversations on craft, design, and creative practice. A former AAMC Board member, she brings passion, writing skills, organizational skills, no‑nonsense criticality, and hard work to her service. Nan’s leadership experience includes coordinating large‑scale events and supporting community‑based arts organizations. She is committed to strengthening the AAMC through clearer communication, improved bylaws, and more effective outreach. Nan aims to help the Association navigate its current challenges with transparency, structure, and a renewed sense of shared purpose, ensuring that the Mills legacy remains vibrant and visible for future generations.

  • Nzinga Woods

    Nzinga's goal during her board term is to support and advance the AAMC's mission by fostering greater inclusivity, innovation, and accessibility while honoring Mills' spirit and vision. She is motivated by the opportunity to ensure that AAMC continues to evolve while staying true to its roots, and her experience in event planning positions her to help coordinate meaningful gatherings that strengthen alumni connections. She is eager to contribute the dedication and energy to AAMC’s goals whether it’s through attending events, engaging with members, or driving new initiatives.
