AAMC’s campaign for the future of Mills College

 

For Generations Still, a campaign of the Alumnae Association of Mills College (AAMC), seeks to strengthen our association to pursue several key goals:

  • To better serve our members in the years to come;

  • To advocate for transparency in decision-making about the College's future; and

  • To keep Mills true to its values as a college dedicated to women's leadership, gender and racial equity, and social justice.

The campaign seeks to raise $5 million from at least 5,000 alumnae and friends. With these funds, the AAMC will invest in building AAMC staffing and systems to ensure the association can thrive as an independent organization serving Mills alumnae and students—now and in the future.

Announcing our Online Auction: Mills United

Dynamic duo Sissy Cutchen '81 and Ann Kasper '81 will host the largest auction to benefit the AAMC in its over 100-year history. The auction seeks to raise over $100,000 with over 150 items.

Send an email to the chairs at auction@aamc-mills.org to donate items. Here’s what we are looking for:

  • Art: Preferably original, including prints, music, textiles, jewelry, paintings, and sculptures.

  • Experiences: Meals, vacation homes, tastings, tours, sporting events, concerts, and any event tickets.

  • Fashion: High-end new or gently used vintage and/or designer bags, belts, clothing, and jewelry, including costume jewelry.

We raised over $8,000 For Generations Still through our t-shirt campaign plus more from Reunion sales. Thank you for participating!

More For Generations Still merchandise is still available. Proceeds from all purchases will go to the For Generations Still campaign.

How to Participate

  • Get Loud

    Join with your regional alumnae branch/club or your classmates to raise funds and compete against other groups! So far, Los Angeles Mills College Alumnae have raised more than $100,000 for the campaign.

    We’ll tally up gifts by branch/club and class and award prizes for the most raised and highest participation.

  • Donate

    We aim to raise $5 million from at least 5,000 alums. Any amount donated makes a difference and adds up quickly. Now is the time to show your support for the AAMC.

    Here are ways to donate to the AAMC:

    • Make gifts up to $5,000 online

    • Mail checks in any amount

    • Transfer appreciated securities

  • Show Up

    Through campaign events, we’ll build connections among alums while educating them about the AAMC and the important financial need to contribute to the For Generations Still campaign.

    Look out for AAMC sponsored events and organize your own branch/club/class events to support the campaign!

  • Volunteer

    Want to help keep the fires of wisdom burning at Mills? We need volunteers to make this campaign successful.

    We have several committees to join so there is a high likelihood of finding tasks that match your interest and time available. Plus, what better excuse to spend time with your Mills friends!
